COMSUMER UNITS As of June 2008, the 17th edition of BS7671 (British Standard for electrics) states that all circuits supplying sockets and lighting in bathrooms needs to be protected by an RCD (Risidual Current Device). This means that old fuse boards (re-wireable) do not meet the new standards. MJS Electrical can supply and fit a new 17th edition Consumer Unit for as little as £280 (based on an 8-way board). What's more, your whole electrical installation will be tested and NICEIC certified by one of MJS Electrical's qualified engineers. |
